Obioma Martin is the founder of Obioma Martin LLC. which provides professional development, mentoring, and coaching to childcare providers globally to allow both women and men to sustain work and get off welfare. OMART Women Supporting Women is a 501c3 not for profit organization that she has founded to support women who want to live their dreams of starting a business or returning to school and to help put an end to domestic violence by providing frequent laser coaching and networking events to educate and empower women to be their best. She even holds an annual retreat in March to allow women and men to train and connect with others who have passions for running successful businesses. She has had a 100% success rate in helping over 3000 women go from welfare to receiving the credentials required to go back to school.
But Martin does not only have a strong desire to help women stand up on their feet. She is also passionate about providing quality education to schools and day care centers around the world. She received an associate degree in early childhood education from the Community College of Philadelphia, a bachelor’s degree in childcare management from Chestnut Hill College, master’s degree in early childhood education and leadership from Arcadia University, Goldman Sachs 10,000 small business program Alumni.
In 2002, she opened a daycare center that she ran for five years until she decided that she wanted to do more to impact and nurture the lives of children. In 2007, she realized that many day care centers lacked the resources and teachers to provide consistent care and learning for the children and so she turned to agencies to train and employ those who are struggling with welfare. This not only helps children receive better education but it also benefits those who need the confidence to stay employed and off of welfare.
This is not all there is. Obioma has developed coaching programs for childcare administrators and small business owners. Her coaching programs provides clarity, and step by step laser focus on problems that are blocking small business owners from manifesting the life and business of their dreams. Obioma has authored several accountability journals that are a guide to help both men and women and get unstuck in every area of their life. Obioma plans to start her own college for education and entrepreneurship in order to teach and reach out to those globally. She inspires us with her words, “I would tell others to get connect and have a network because this world is so strong that you never know who knows who and you cannot survive alone”. Her words speak truth. We all have different goals and passion in life but only with the help of others can we truly succeed.
Obioma Martin facilitates monthly masterminds, business networking and empowerment events for both women and men in support of small business owners, featuring inspirational panel speakers and vendors who contribute to this celebratory, yet powerful, event, providing the message that all women should love and treasure themselves.
